A Young Man Receives A DUI Arrest And Comes To A Decision To Hire A DUI Lawyer
Even though Franklin wasn't an attorney, he told his son that he learned the hard way when as a young man he received a DWI, represented himself in the local court, paid two thousand dollars in fines and penalties, and served 120 days in jail. As he told his son, after he got released from jail, he found out from a lawyer friend that if he would have hired a "drunk driving lawyer in the first place, he more likely than not would have had his penalties and fines considerably reduced and he might have never served any time in jail.
When Lawrence heard this he knew he needed more DUI facts and so he asked his dad for more information about what a "driving under the influence" lawyer can do in a DWI arrest. His dad then stated the following: "If you have been charged with DUI, it is advisable for you to get advice from a DUI lawyer in your local area right away. By doing this, you will know what to expect when you appear in court. From a general standpoint, criminal DUI cases tend to move fairly rapidly through the court system and unfamiliarity with procedural requirements and the various deadlines could harm your case. With this in mind, it certainly makes a lot of sense to hire a DUI attorney for your 'driving under the influence' or 'drunk driving' case."
When Lawrence heard his father explain this, it was as if his eyes were opened for the first time about the importance of hiring a DUI attorney. Near the end of their discussion, Lawrence mentioned that he was beginning to grasp the significance of "drunk driving" laws and what "driving under the influence" attorneys can do for an individual who has received a "driving under the influence" arrest.

Something else, however, happened after he had talked to his father. His dad smiled at Lawrence and mentioned the following: "son, it took me until I was fifty years old to realize what you just told me. I am really proud of you." Regrettably, there was one issue that neither Lawrence nor his father considered, namely, if Lawrence is manifesting any alcohol abuse signs or maybe if he is displaying any of the common signs of alcoholism. In truth, if Lawrence is manifesting any alcohol signs that indicate alcohol dependency or alcohol abuse, he will probably need alcohol rehabilitation.
In all honesty, Lawrence may be mandated by the court to get rehabilitation for his hazardous and excessive drinking. The good news, however, is that whatever it takes to deal with his careless drinking, it seems that Lawrence will be highly motivated to do the "right" thing.
